Job Summary

Reporting to the Finished Products Supervisor, the Packaging Team Leader is responsible for all tasks related to the production chain, particularly in the packaging, printing, and inventory management departments. The Team Leader ensures the quality and smooth functioning of production to meet client expectations.

How You Can Contribute
  • Coordinate and assign daily tasks to the processing/packaging team.
  • Suspend the product in drying rooms.
  • Monitor the condition of the product and environment in the drying rooms.
  • Contribute to production by ensuring teams follow systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor production checkpoints, equipment, personnel, and resources to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Implement cost reduction measures and develop procedures and reporting systems.
  • Address process malfunctions in production.
  • Maintain quality control by adhering to organizational standards and collaborating with the quality assurance team.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by educating staff on proper use of equipment and resources.
  • Substitute for various production roles as needed.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to safety practices (health, safety, PPE, dress code, etc.).
  • Access the vault for final product storage and green waste collection, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Communicate with external departments to coordinate daily operations.
  • Oversee manual or machine trimming of products to prepare for the next processing stage.
  • Report any ventilation or equipment issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Maintain tools, technical equipment, and production facilities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report material or supply needs.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sterility in the production area, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Complete all required physical and/or electronic documentation.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
You’re Really Good At:
  • Manual dexterity (using scissors, shears, etc.).
  • Working in an organized manner and following standard operating procedures to ensure product consistency.
  • Performing varied tasks as needed.
  • Working in confined and noisy spaces.
  • Collaborating as part of a team and working independently.
  • Paying close attention to details.
  • Using basic computer applications (Microsoft Office knowledge is an asset).
  • Speaking multiple languages (bilingualism in French and English is an asset).
Things we hope you have:
  • High school diploma (preferred).
  • Experience in team management.
  • Safety certifications (CPR, first aid, etc.) – an asset.
  • Experience in an industrial facility – an asset.
  • Intermediate spoken French.
  • Basic math skills.
